Brands may request evidence review and submit official corrections, but outcomes are decided by evidence and policy. Vote manipulation, harassment, and unlawful content are not allowed.
1. Prohibited Content
You may not submit content that:
- Is knowingly false, materially misleading, or defamatory
- Infringes on third-party intellectual property or copyrights
- Contains hate speech, harassment, or targeted abuse
- Promotes violence, illegal activity, or serious harm
BrandedFacts reserves the right to remove such content at any time.
2. Voting Rules
To protect the integrity of fact validation, votes must reflect genuine, independent user judgment.
Prohibited actions
- Using automated systems, bots, or scripts to vote or interact
- Creating multiple accounts to influence outcomes
- Offering, requesting, or receiving compensation or incentives for votes
- Coordinating vote manipulation or brigading campaigns
Integrity safeguards
- One vote per user per claim (where applicable)
- Fraud detection signals (for example, abnormal vote bursts)
- Flagging and moderator review for suspicious activity
- Audit logging of major validation events
3. Paid Reviews, Corrections, and Brand Participation
BrandedFacts allows brands and verified representatives to pay for evidence review, correction requests, and official responses, subject to strict safeguards.
What payment does not allow
- Payment cannot guarantee deletion, downgrading, or validation of any fact
- Payment cannot override community voting outcomes or moderator judgment
- Payment cannot suppress public discussion or audit history
What payment does allow
- Initiating a fast-track evidence review of an existing fact
- Submitting verified documentation to correct, clarify, or update facts
- Publishing clearly labeled
Official Brand StatementsorOfficial Corrections - Requesting archival of facts that are demonstrably outdated
All paid actions are:
- Subject to moderator review
- Evidence-based
- Transparently labeled
- Recorded in the public audit history
Fact status changes occur only when supported by evidence and policy, not solely because payment was made.
Removal & Legal Escalation
BrandedFacts reserves the right to remove content where necessary to comply with law, protect users, or prevent harm.
Removal may occur when:
- Content violates platform policies
- Content is demonstrably false and defamatory
- A credible legal risk is identified
Removal decisions are:
- Evidence-based
- Proportionate
- Logged for accountability
Where possible, BrandedFacts will favor labeling, rejection, or contextual clarification over permanent removal.
Legal Threats & Reputation Disputes
BrandedFacts does not remove content solely because it is reputation-damaging.
However, where a fact is:
- Alleged to be defamatory
- Accompanied by legal threats or notices
The platform may:
- Temporarily remove the content
- Place it under Legal Review
- Request substantiating evidence from all parties
Pending resolution.
No Pay-to-Delete (Clarified)
Payment cannot guarantee:
- Removal of facts
- Suppression of rejected claims
- Alteration of audit history
Payment may only support:
- Evidence review
- Correction requests
- Official responses
4. Enforcement
Violations of this policy may result in:
- Content removal or correction
- Temporary account restrictions
- Permanent account suspension or ban
BrandedFacts reserves the right to enforce this policy at its discretion to protect platform integrity, users, and public trust.
5. Transparency and Accountability
Major actions, including fact corrections, verification changes, paid review requests, and moderation decisions, are logged in the platform's audit history. This ensures accountability for:
- Users
- Brand representatives
- Moderators
- The platform itself
