One brand page. Two layers: Experience + Facts.

How BrandedFacts works

BrandedFacts is a community platform where brand conversations become structured, evidence-backed information. It keeps opinions and facts separate, so people can talk freely while truth stays accountable.

The core idea

Every brand has one page. That page has two layers: a conversation layer and a truth layer.

1

Experience layer (Discussion)

People share their real stories, complaints, praise, and regional differences.
Threaded conversationUpvotes and repliesOpinions stay as opinions
2

Truth layer (Facts)

Users submit evidence-backed claims and the community validates them.

Step-by-step

From creating a brand page to verifying a fact - here is the full flow.

1

Create (or find) the brand page

A page is defined by mother company, product name, and a product image. BrandedFacts prevents duplicates - if the page already exists, you join the existing page.
Unique brand slugDuplicate preventionOne canonical page
2

Submit a Fact Claim (with evidence)

Facts must be neutral, verifiable, and supported by at least one piece of evidence (link or photo). Claims start as Pending.

3

Community validates with Agree / Disagree

Users vote on Pending claims. BrandedFacts shows raw totals publicly and may apply reputation-weighted scoring internally to reduce manipulation.

4

Verified facts rise to the top

When a claim meets the verification threshold (for example, 1,000+ agrees with low dispute and no safety or legal flags), it becomes a Verified Fact and is displayed prominently.

Important: opinions are not facts.

If a statement is subjective ("this tastes better"), it belongs in Discussion. Fact claims must be verifiable ("contains 19g sugar/100ml" with label evidence).

Moderation, disputes, and safety

BrandedFacts uses automated checks and human review to protect truth and users.

A

Automated checks (first line)

New claims are scanned for spam, hate, harmful accusations, opinions disguised as facts, and missing evidence. Risky claims are flagged before they spread.
Spam detectionHarmful content filtersAuto-flag for review
B

Moderator review (second line)

Moderators can verify, reject, request clarity, edit wording for neutrality, or move items into legal review. All actions are recorded for transparency.

C

Audit timeline (accountability)

Major actions (fact edits, verification, rejection, legal review, brand claims) appear in a history timeline. This makes BrandedFacts defensible and trustworthy.

Brand owners can claim pages - without controlling truth

Brands may participate, respond, and add official information, but cannot pay to delete or override facts.

1

Submit a brand claim

A brand representative submits a claim with a work email, role, website, and tier (local, regional, global). Claims are reviewed by moderators.

What owners can do

Add official descriptions, upload verified images, respond with evidence, and view analytics (premium).

Brands cannot rewrite the public record.

If a brand disputes a claim, it must provide evidence and request review. Verified facts remain community-validated and moderation-protected.

FAQ

Common questions about truth, voting, and fairness.

Why separate "Discussion" and "Facts"?
Discussion is where people share experiences and opinions. Facts are structured, evidence-backed claims that must pass validation rules. This keeps BrandedFacts credible and prevents "loud opinions" from becoming "truth."
How does a fact become verified?
A claim starts as Pending. It becomes Verified only after meeting vote thresholds (raw and/or weighted), keeping disagreement low, passing automated checks, and clearing moderation safeguards. Risky or legally sensitive items can be flagged or sent to legal review.
Can a company remove facts they dislike?
No. Companies can claim pages and respond, but cannot pay to delete or override facts. Disputes go through evidence-based review and moderation. All major changes are logged in the audit history.
How do you prevent bots and vote manipulation?
BrandedFacts uses one-vote-per-user rules, logging and anomaly detection (for example, vote bursts), moderation flags, and optional reputation-weighted scoring. Suspicious activity is reviewed and can be discounted or removed according to policy.
